The Boardwalk Hotel

 I recently had the opportunity to spend a night at the Boardwalk Hotel in Port Elizabeth. Located on the beachfront of the Eastern Cape, this hotel offers a perfect blend of luxury and convenience.

Unfortunately, the staff's greeting on arrival and departure was not the best, and I found their service to be lacking in some areas. The actual checkin process itself was smooth(but a bit impersonal), and the staff members welcomed me by providing me with all the bare essential information about the hotel and its amenities.

As I entered my twin room, I was immediately impressed by its elegant design and luxurious furnishings. The room was spacious and well-lit, with large windows that provided a stunning view of the ocean.

The room was equipped with all the necessary amenities such as a comfortable bed, a writing desk, a flat-screen TV, air conditioning, and a minibar. The en-suite bathroom was modern and spotless, with a large bathtub and a separate walk-in shower.

After freshening up, I set out to explore the hotel's facilities. The Boardwalk Hotel has a wide range of amenities, including a fitness center, a spa, a swimming pool, and several restaurants and bars. I decided to try out the hotel's spa, which offered an extensive range of treatments, including massages, facials, and body wraps. The staff at the spa were professional and welcoming, and I left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

In the evening, I decided to have dinner at the hotel's flagship restaurant, Kipling's Brasserie. The restaurant has a chic and sophisticated atmosphere, with a modern European menu that focuses on fresh, locally sourced ingredients. I opted for the grilled kingklip, which was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The wine list was extensive, and the sommelier was knowledgeable and helpful in recommending a wine that complemented my meal.

After dinner, I took a stroll along the beachfront. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of several bars and nightclubs, making it an ideal destination for those looking to explore Port Elizabeth's vibrant nightlife.

Back in my room, I sank into my comfortable bed, grateful for the luxurious surroundings and peaceful atmosphere. The next morning, I woke up feeling refreshed and energized, ready to take on the day ahead.

Breakfast was served at the hotel's restaurant, where I enjoyed a delicious buffet of fresh fruit, pastries, and hot dishes. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff members constantly refilling my coffee cup and checking to ensure that I had everything I needed.

Overall, I would recommend the Boardwalk hotel for anyone looking for a luxurious stay in Port Elizabeth. While there were some areas for improvement in terms of service, the facilities, pool, and breakfast more than made up for it.
